Sesame Street Comes to Universal Studios Singapore

Aside from Disneyland in Hongkong, Universal Studios in Singapore is one of the top destinations in Asia right now for they don’t require any visa to visit their country and their tourist spots. With that, many Pinoys are visiting there every now and then making their tourism to boom so  much.

Anyway, we’ve been to Hongkong in Dec. 2009 and I’m looking forward to a trip in Singapore this year to visit Universal Studios and other places. I just learned that Sesame Street comes to Universal Studios Singapore!!! Who doesn’t love Ernie and Bert, Cookie Monster and other characters that we have loved for many years!

Here they are:

Singing at the Videoke

Filipinos are known to be great singers and belters. We have so many singers who can sing high notes with their crystal clear voices. Just one of the popular singers that we have is Charice Pempengco who is making waves internationally after she appeared both at Oprah and Ellen’s shows few years back. Her voice is just so powerful and many have admired her renditions of Whitney’s songs.

For ordinary people, many love to sing in videokes and in fact, almost every birthday or any celebrations, videoke is always present so people can have their turn to sing and have some fun. Celebrations are also fun with good lights and sound music.

Lights and Sound Rental Services

A good friend of mine own a lights and sounds rental services here in our town. I think he's been in that kind of business for over 5 years now and as I can see it's doing real good. Their services are rented on birthdays, inaugurations, commencement exercises, weddings, speeches, and other kinds of occasion that needs lights and sound/music on their event.

He knows how to mix music and practically he's a DJ as well. I heard from him that he is expanding, which is a great news and he needs more equipment or an upgrade of what he has already. I will not wonder anymore of he'd buy the Stanton dj mixers for sale that we saw once online. I'm sure it'll be a good addition to his equipment that he can use on his services. Wishing him well on his chosen field of business.

Reading Labels

I went to the grocery last weekend and I was a bit disappointed because I need to return few items just because of my carelessness. Boo… I wasn’t able to read the labels carefully so I bought the wrong items. I’m so used to just get the item without reading the label especially when I already know the brand that I’m buying all the time. The ketchup that I got was “hot” when I only need the regular one, the mushroom in can that I need is whole but I got stems instead while I got whole pickles instead of crushed ones. Argghh.. hehe

Next time, I will see to it that I will read any kind of labels be it foil labels or not on bottles, boxes and on any items that I’ll buy because sometimes I thought the one that I’m getting is the usual item that I need. I also wish the manufacturers make the labels more bigger and more readable.

Forums and Social Networking Sites

These days, joining social networking sites is very common already. In fact, there are already millions of people around the globe who joined one of the most popular social networking sites and that is Facebook. I will not blame people for doing such because I myself is an active member of that site. Apart from sharing my views, photos, experience and more there, I was able to re-connect with long lost friends and classmates and even relatives whom I thought I would not meet again. Messaging and keeping in touch has never been easier and I’m really thankful to that.

People tend to join communities and social networking sites because we simply all want to connect, share and mingle with other people. I have once joined photography forums, gained experience, and met some new friends along the way. Meeting some of the members is also great for I was able to talk to them in real life.

When I discovered the world of digital scrapbooking way back in 2005, a new door opened to me as well. I met many friends through the forum and sharing tips about scrapbooking is one great of an experience. Apart from that, they’ve become my real friends not just online but also offline because we have been meeting in real life every now and then. Most of us have bonded very well and I’m very grateful for that. We have been talking in our forum each day but transferred to Twitter later on. These days, it’s not only digital scrapbooking that we been conversing about but any thing under the sun as well.

Almost all of the digi friends are moms now so mommies have been sharing quite a lot of information about pregnancy, giving birth, parenting and all. It’s another topic that they enjoyed talking even though I don’t have any kid of my own. It’s good to know that a mom forum is also available for mommy to-be or mommies already where they can interact and share info.

Joining forums can be exciting for it’s a place to meet new friends and share your thoughts.

Jessica Sanchez and Jennifer Holiday’s Duet at American Idol 11

OK well, Philip Phillips won at the American Idol season 11 and congrats to him but oh boy, Jessica is one hell of a performer and a singer. I;ve watched the grand finale live via satellite over at ETC channel 9 this morning at 8am (Phil. time) and I can’t help but to be wowed with this performance of Jessica Sanchez and Jennifer Holiday.

A must see performance. They sang And I am Telling You. Jennifer’s facial expression is a little too  distracting hehe but it’s definitely an explosive performance!!!!!!!!!

Let Your Children Play Outside

We can’t hide the fact that these days a lot of kids don’t play or get dirty outside of their homes already because some parents tend to just let their kids play using the computer or iPad to keep them busy.

Let them explore outside and play with other kids. In that way, they can also socialize and learn more new things aside from what they can learn in the computers. If there’s a nearby park with children's playground equipment, take your kids there and who knows they can meet new kids and become friends. Don’t let them just play inside the house, they need to go out!

The Pros and Cons of Filing for Bankruptcy

As with most things in life, there are advantages as well as disadvantages in filing for bankruptcy. This short list can help you balance the pros and cons to make a decision that is right for you. Since no two debt situations are exactly alike, there is no one-size-fits-all solution to problems. While bankruptcy is considered as a last resort for some, there are still several factors to consider before filing one. These include how much debt you are in, your ability to pay the debt off,and the kinds of debt you owe.

Ten Years After Bankruptcy

Of course, the bankruptcy stays on your credit report for ten years, and for the rest of your life you'll have to check that box on credit applications that asks if you've ever been in bankruptcy. But there is an upside to this. Most people already have a history of late payments, possibly repossessions and other negative marks on the credit report. Bankruptcy is a chance to wipe this slate clean and begin to rebuild a new, better credit rating.

Bankruptcy and Property

During bankruptcy, there is only so much property you'll be allowed to keep. You may have to give up some things. However, in most states people who go through bankruptcy can keep their home, a car to get to work and back, household items, clothing and other personal essentials. If debt is ruining your life, some sacrifices may be worth it. Don't assume you'll lose anything, however. Ask a qualified attorney at http://www.totalbankruptcy.com/chapter-13/overview.aspx about the things could happen to your property. Sometimes bankruptcy is a way to get a fresh, new start.
