There are just too many spams and hoax e-mails that I get everyday and this Hoax Paypal E-mail: Your Paypal Account Has Been Limited is one of them.
I always get this kind of e-mail and never I will click the link that they will ask me to sign in and update my profile. I know this is a HOAX, and phishing e-mail that crooks online are doing.
Look closely at the the e-mail of the sender, it’s not even from paypal so this is NOT TRUE. Funny thing also is that they sent this e-mail that is not even my paypal e-mail so it’s another red flag.
So, don’t just click on e-mails coming from unknown source. Please be careful because you don’t want your Paypal got hacked, right?
Paypal WILL never e-mail you without your real name on their e-mails like this.
I too had received a few spam e-mails from supposed to be Paypal sender but I just ignored it. They just want to get information from me. We have to be very careful about our accounts and look closely to who is sending it. Lot's of phishers out there so don't get hooked.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this ate Jen.
ReplyDeleteI once received an email from "paypal" stating that I need to change my password as someone tried to access my account and that I had to click a link to be directed to my personal "account" site. That sentence right there gave me the suspicion that's it's a hoax. I forwarded the email to the real paypal and they responded that they have not sent anything regarding such matters and that I should disregard the email I received from the fake paypal immediately. I'm sure they already got the fake paypal's account details :) I never got suspicious mails from fake paypal ever.
ReplyDeleteJust ignore that and send it straight to the real paypal and they will advice you accordingly.
Same here, but the best thing to do is to just ignore them.
ReplyDeletevery well said. same here, i received emails like that at a lot more spam e-mails...i just ignored them and marked as a spam. :) we should be careful these days. :) take care.
ReplyDeleteI haven't received anything like that yet. Thank you for this post, Jenny. Now I know what to do if I receive an email like that. Thank you so much. :-)
ReplyDeletespams are just everywhere, sometimes i have to call or email them if something has really change to make sure this isn't one of those spams in the mail..it sucks really
ReplyDeleteHi 'Te Jen I used to get those phishing emails too, even almost clicked on the link but fortunate that my Firefox browser then prompted me to leave the page because it has been reported as a fraudulent page! From then on, I was really careful enough to always flag them as spam.
ReplyDeletegosh, I hate those spammers...full of scammers around the globe.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I get these emails with link, I don't click directly on the link, I'd rather type Paypal on the address bar...these spam are deadly.
ReplyDeleteyes, i get loads of spam emails, good thing i never got the urge to click them. virus, virus and phishers galore!
ReplyDeletei think i got a couple of these emails before...
ReplyDeleteI had a very bad experience with PP. My account had been limited and was eventually banned from the system. They never returned my money back that's close to $200 :-( Sad. Had I known about this warning beforehand, I should have been more careful. It was a hard lesson learned for me.
ReplyDeleteeveryone should really be careful with these kind of emails...
ReplyDeletethere are some that wouldn't sound or look obvious. you just have to be a little keen when it comes to this kind of emails specially when it talks about funds and stuff..
cheers!
I have never received any e-mails like this from this so-called PayPal hackers. But if ever they did, I wouldn't click.
ReplyDeleteThere are ways that only PayPal can prove that it is them who are sending those e-mail and you can actually see it in the e-mail itself.
I always got the same kind of email.. firs thing I check is the email address if it is legit or not
