Mom traveled to Australia last Christmas and one of the requirements that the Australian Embassy was to submit a travel insurance certificate bec. my mom is already 74 that time. Travelers who are over 70 years old are required to get such and we managed to oblige with the requirement so she was able to fly. I reckon this is a must for senior citizens since we never know when emergency will strike. The travel insurance that I got for mom includes medical and hospital assistance and there are many packages that anyone can get depending on the no. of days of stay and amount of insurance.
Anyway, there are quite a lot of companies that are offering insurance policies from Home Insurance, Car Insurance, Travel Insurance and more. Just in case you want to get any type of it, we are rest assured that we will be safe in case of emergency.
