Spending our Christmas 2009

Just in case you didn't see these Christmas photos at my other blog JENNY TALKS, i'm sharing this here too. After spending bonding moments with my family on our Hongkong vacation, my Sis Joy and family who already live in Australia went to the Phils. for their Christmas and New Year celebration last Dec. 24th- Jan 16th, 2010.

Our family picture minus my sister Beng and her family.

They all enjoyed their vacation most especially their 2 kids who is 1st time to come and visit the Phils. They were a bit cultured shock but they quickly managed to adapt to the things around here. We let them eat Pinoy foods (thought they eat it back home in Australia) and experienced riding the tricycle and the jeepney. They enjoyed it! We are always bound shopping till we dropped or till our feet hurts.

Dec. 25, we had exchanged gifts in the evening after going to our relatives to visit them and get gifts. It was real fun!

Here are more photos:

Colorful Capiz Christmas Lanterns

capizlantern_1
14 more days as of this writing and it's Christmas day already. I guess all of us who celebrates Christmas have already decorated our Christmas trees and even hanged lanterns on our homes.

About 2 weeks ago we bought one of this Christmas capiz lantern at a nearby store to brighten up our garage. Capiz lanterns are made out of capiz shells with colorful lights inside, we bought a small one for P1,200 and the capiz below is big and worth P5,500.

Ohhh How I Wish

Now that holidays are started to unfold, I'm also slowly drifting to holiday mode. At times I just want to rest and just think about the beautiful things ahead. I also am thinking about SHOPPING because as we all know sale is already left and right attracting Christmas shoppers. I hope next week I can start wrapping all the gifts that I bought so that our mini-Christmas tree will have something underneath.

I know as the days are nearing Christmas, I'll be thinking more about our overseas vacation, ohh how I'd wish our HK trip will also have an all inclusive mexico trip but that is impossible because of limited budget. Who knows one day I can win the lottery, I'd be touring the whole world. hehe

Busy Days Ahead

Wow it's a brand new week for all of us again and I thank the Lord for blessing me with another beautiful day to live. Few more days and it's gonna be the busiest season of the month and right now I'm already getting giddy and my days are getting busier. With my online and offline works, I need to schedule my time so I can do all of them.

I also need to clean and purge some of my stuff in the house and in my room. It's my routine before the year ends to give clothes from my closet that I'm not using to my niece or my sister in law. My sister and her family is coming home from overseas as well so we need to clean the house. Mom have already re-painted the gates and some walls. The lanterns and Christmas lights are already hanging and few more stuff are needed to be installed and clean. If only we can have Hubberton Forge lights in the house, then it'll be great for sure.

Christmas bug is on me right now and I feel excited and anxious. I can't for it to arrive plus I can't wait for our Hongkong trip with my family.

Hello December!

Hooray, it's December already and I think we all have every reason to be jolly and excited over the Christmas holidays!

I guess you already know why I am excited if you are reading some of my previous posts. I already done my Christmas shopping but unfortunately I am not done yet. You know my list is getting longer as the Christmas approaches and I'm having double time thinking what gifts to give.

I have already set up our Christmas tree last night and today at my store. The malls are glimmering with lights and decors.

Christmas Gift Idea: NFL Uniform sets

As the most festive season of the year, which is Christmas approaches, I know all of us now have made our list before heading to the store. Some of us have actually started our Christmas shopping just like me since November but I still have few more items that I needed to buy this coming days. You know my list is getting longer as I remember all the persons that I need to give a gift. It’s fun but still it’s a bit mind boggling what gift we need to give bec. we don’t want to give the same gift all the time.

If you are looking for unique gift for kids then I suggest you can give NFL Jerseys. Just make sure they love NFL so that they can appreciate it more, but I bet they do. To make them more excited, giving them a set with their favorite team (Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears and more) will always make them delighted.

Each uniform set includes 100% double knit polyester NFL jersey, pants with elastic waist band, foam padding, NFL helmet with NFL logo, face mask, and adjustable chin straps. You can also have the chance to choose for ironed on numbers. NFL Uniforms are perfect for kids ages 4-7 (small size), while ages 7-10 can fit it medium All uniforms are made by Franklin Sports and can be ordered for $39.99 at www.nfluniformset.com.

Sending Christmas Love

Just one of my favorite occasions each year aside from my birthday of course is none other than Christmas. As we all know it, it’s the most festive event of the year all over the world because aside from celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, it’s also a time for gift giving. Family reunions and other get together are always done during those days giving us different joy.

Here in the Phils. we are known to have the longest Christmas because decors can be seen as early as September. The glittering lights and colorful lanterns adorn each houses and streets welcoming the joyous event coming. Just one of the most popular ways of sharing Christmas love and care for our loved ones especially to those that are overseas is by sending them cards through snail mail or e-mail.

I still prefer the traditional way of sending Christmas cards for it brings a different and special mood from the receiver. Often times we only go to the bookstore to purchase cards but these days ordering christmas cards can be done online at ChristmasCardsUk.com. Not only they have classic cards but you can opt to have you cards personalized by putting your own words and choosing the designs.

Aside from that they have recycled Christmas cards and envelops made out of 100% recycled papers. Perfect for the environment. We also know that these days, putting a photo on cards are fun as well so they have that as well. Just a note send your cards early to avoid rush.

I Got My Christmas Wishlist Ready

So you think I am way too early to have my Christmas wish list? I have posted it early at my other blog because it is for our Bebot/Twitter Christmas Exchange gift this year. We have to start this early because we have members who is in US, Canada, Singapore, Hongkong and here in Pinas so we'll have ample time to buy and ship our gifts. In this way, we'll receive our gifts before Christmas so everyone will be happy.

Last year, we have a member who unfortunately got her gift already February because of shipping problems. Imagine that? We all hope this year will be a breeze bec. we need to send our gifts before October ends or early Nov.

Kids and Christmas

I saw my 5 yr. old niece Reign watching at You Tube and it turned out to be commercials of Barbie dolls and other toys. She kept on pointing on the screen when I looked over and said “Bili mo ko nito, Tita Jen” (Buy me this aunt Jen). Oh dear, I replied, “yes on Christmas” so that she will not bug me again and again. I also told her to behave so that Santa will know she’s good and he might give him that Barbie doll. Her eyes lit up upon hearing that.

Kids always love Christmas aside from the fact that they know that it is the birth of Jesus but because of the gifts that they will be receiving. Each year they got Christmas Party Invitations from their school and other friends and that makes them more excited. Those that are organizing a Christmas party will find it very useful to browse http://www.holiday-invitations.com. You can browse Holiday-Invitations’ website and there you’ll find nice themed Christmas Invitations that you can order.

Your Christmas Party Invitation can be modified unlimited times with no extra charge. Cool huh? Aside from that their Invitations Christmas Party are shipped the same day the order is approved. Ahh.. I can’t wait for Christmas as I know I’ll be receiving lots if invites once again.

Opening of Christmas Gifts

It's our family tradition every Christmas to exchange gifts and to open them on the night of Christmas day. Of course the kids are the once much excited since they have the most gifts to receive. It was 6 pm on Christmas day when I gathered all the kids, including the gifts that came from my sis JOYD from Sydney.

As you can see there are lots of gifts on the table, we almost got one of those bigger tv stands to put all of them. Anyway, each one of us has gifts to open so we were all excited and we had a good laugh esp. when we tease each other what's inside the box. The kid's eyes light up every time they open their gifts. It's such a nice scene to behold as it is priceless.

Dither with his gift from his Aunt Joy, look at the big smile on his face bec. he got what he wants

Our Christmas 2008

Hi everyone, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas like we had. Gosh it's been almost 5 days now that I have updated here.. sorry for that. Anyway, we had a fun Christmas. On Christmas Eve my family went to hear the mass, except for my mom who is sick at that time. It was uncomfortable because it was raining and the church is so full already that we are already outside the church standing with our umbrellas. Fortunately the rain stopped during the course of the mass. After mass just ate simple noche buena then went to sleep.

Christmas day, as usual there are many kids including my godchildren who came to see me and of course to accept the gifts that I have for them. We went to our relative's house too to eat and receive gifts and to pay them a visit. The kids enjoyed the day.

At nighttime, around 6 pm , i gathered all the gifts that we have and one by one we opened our presents. It was so so fun , especially the kids. Their eyes glowed when they got their present. Hahaha.. I got my gifts too, I got perfume etc. I thought I will be getting bamboo blinds for the house but unfortunately no one gave me that. Opening of gifts is always fun since it is much awaited by the kids here.

How's your Christmas?

Beating the Christmas Rush

Yay, I've finally finished my Christmas shopping!! I've been to a lot of malls actually Robinson's, SM, Greenhills Shopping Center and 168 shopping mall for the last couple of days just to hunt down the items that i wanted to give to my loved ones and of course to my dear self.

I love shopping and enjoyed it the most if i have lots to spend haha although it is sometimes tiring. I know I have not saved and wasted some time along my shopping habits but what the heck it's Christmas anyway. Last week, up to now and for sure this weekend, malls will be full with shoppers who are trying to beat the holiday rush.

Just this morning, I was at a nearby mall to run errands for my sister and shoppers are really everywhere buying gifts or just roaming around the mall. One thing I noticed is that lots of people are at the electronics shops and household areas. Probably they are looking for some TV, cellphones, ipods or even TV wall mount for their homes. I myself bought some new plastic wares where I can put our pork or fish to be frozen at the chiller and next year i plan to buy a laptop!! wahoo

If you have not finish your shopping yet, i recommend you to finish it now or else you'll be burnt out hehe. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Holiday Mode

Yay... I am just so lazy to blog today, it must be the weather and the holiday season. I am also guessing that it is due to my tiredness since yesterday bec. we went on a shopping spree in Divisoria with my bestfriend Racel, my niece and a family friend. We got home so tired and hungry last night and up to now my legs are aching. There are lots of people buying gifts already.

Actually I have lots of stories to tell buy like i told you I don't feel like being chatty today. I will share more stories and photos in my later posts and in the meantime I just need to finish my online tasks about english saddles that is expiring soon. Anyway, I know all of us are already busy esp. next week so I'm greeting you all MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Holiday Rush

Can you feel the cold air already??? It's actually chilly especially in the early mornings and to tell you frankly, I'm already getting lazier each day hihi. I also have no more time to do my morning exercise like before. I used to play badminton in the morning in front of our house but as the days goes by I have neglected that. How I'd wish I have an elliptical workout in the house, maybe it'll rev me up.

Anyway, I see shoppers rushing to buy gifts for their loved ones in the malls and that's why malls love it. Stores have been putting up sales to attract more customers bec. I know with the economic crisis hovering us right now some will cut down their expenses. We don't need to give expensive gifts though as long as we give it from the heart, that is all that matters.
