EB with LP members

NOTE: Photo overload
It's EB meeting of LP (Litratong Pinoy) members last Sat. April 25 and we met to have lunch at Dencio's Grill at Harbour Square at CCP Complex. I arrived about quarter past 11 am and when I got there Missy, Ronnie and Lino were already there so I introduced myself. Later on Marian, JennV and Jay also came.
PROJECT 365: EB with LP members
We ordered Calamares, Sisig, Crispy Kangkong and Sinigang na Hipon. Not long after while we are eating Buge came. We are actually expecting other LP members like Sassy Mommy and Teacher to come but unfortunately they didn't make it. It was fun to meet my co-blogger/photographers in person.

Info: Dish Network Deals

When I got home from work every night, I see to it that I will watch TV till midnight or sometimes way more than that. It’s like my personal routine and I’ll sometimes feel bad when I miss a show when I can’t watch bec. I was too tired or I snooze way too early. TV has become my friend and perhaps to all of us. I always flick the remote, jumping from one channel to another that there are times mom would tell me she’s getting dizzy over I am a type of person that don’t love commercials that much so, I tend to switch easily when it shows up.

I’ve been thinking about subscribing to a local cable network but since I only have few hours at nights to watch shows so I am still contemplating about it. I am not sure if I will get my money’s worth on that one so, it can wait, I suppose. While surfing the net looking for something, I came across this Dish Network and I wish they are broadcasting it here. I think I’ll just recommend this to my relatives in the US just in case they didn’t know this yet.

I Have Dyspepsia Again, Argghhh!!!!

Ohhhh this is painful...!! I ate palabok and Coke for my meryenda (snack) yesterday and later soon after that I felt so bloated and feels like I want to burp everytime. It doesn't go away till at night and I was so uncomfortable while we are in the wake of our highschool teacher.

I felt too full eventhough I ate nothing at that is one of the many symptoms of Dyspepsia or Commonly know as Indigestion. I woke up this morning still feeling the pain so I have to treat it already.I already experienced this 2 years ago, so i know what I am going to take. now I took MOTILIUM tablets this morning and after lunch and it's making me feel better now.

Accdg to Wikipedia:
meaning hard or difficult digestion, is a medical condition characterized by chronic or recurrent pain in the upper abdomen, upper abdominal fullness and feeling full earlier than expected when eating.[1] It can be accompanied by bloating, belching, nausea or heartburn. Dyspepsia is a common problem, and is frequently due to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or gastritis, but in a small minority may be the first symptom of peptic ulcer disease (an ulcer of the stomach or duodenum) and occasionally cancer

Bebot's EB with Trinity

Last Friday April 17, 2009 at BSA Tower in Makati was our Bebot's EB with Trinity who came home for a vacation from the US. Kaje was so kind enough to fetch me in Greenhills so that I will not have a hard time looking for the hotel in Makati and we met at around 1pm.

When we got there Mai was there already with her son Asher and then not long after other bebots came in. It was soooooo nice to meet them (my co-digiscrapper/friends) in person!!! I didn;t recognize Diane when she came in bec. she was not wearing her glasses and she was tan hehe.

We have lotsa food and I got what I am craving for (Blueberry cheesecake). Thanks Joy for ordering.! We also played Taboo game and it was sooo fun eventhough our team lost hehe. We also had seductive shots for Trin, sorry I can't share them. I never thought she was this kikay and fun. Trinity also gave us gifts that made us so gaga. Thanks Trin for the Clinique makeups that i got.!!

Later that night there's a Q&A portion where I got so nervous bwahahaha. These girls are just so fun to be with, I just didn't thought that Diane, Buge and Toni were that shy in person. We got tons of photos and this EB is just way too memorable!!!

My Blog was mentioned at Phil. Daily Inquirer !

I was on my way to our EB with my co-digiscrappers/online friends when my co-scapper friend Suzanne texted me and told me that my blog was at the Phil. Daily Inquirer Friday April 17 issue bec. of my Charice Pempengco post. I was kinda shock or scared and that was my 1st initial reaction but i know I did not post any foul remarks about it so i shrugged off that idea. I even thought it was mentioned at their website but it turned out to be at their newspaper. Thanks to the writer Pocholo Concepcion for mentioning my blog.

Anyway, I was happy about that and of course didn't expect that. I hurriedly told my bro and mom to buy me a copy so that I can see and read it. And here is it, i am honored even it is just a small article hehe.. Here is the post that I wrote about Charice Pempengco Singing the American National Anthem at Dodgers Opening in US

Investing in Gold

We already know the value of gold that’s why perhaps there are lots of people; try to invest in gold for they will last forever. If you properly saved and took care of it there is a tendency that its value will go up high as years goes buy. You can also pass it on to your kids are family heirloom. Some also  buy gold that is in bouillon or coins through Monex Deposit Company (MDC). Monex has been in the investment business for over 30 yrs. and they have been selling precious metals to investors. Should you be interested just contact them or send them your inquiries.

Rainy Summer!!

I guess it's about 34C right now and I am already sweating while I am writing this. AC is not on bec. I am saving electricity, electric is already enough. But wait... I can hear rain outside.. oh yes it's RAINING!! I wanted that bec. it has cooled the temp for a while but I noticed the change in weather lately. It's been raining and it's kinda new to us bec. we have not experienced such in previous summers that we have.

Hmm the weather must be changing bec. of climate change? I can only speculate. With the change in temps from very hot humid to cold and rainy, kids are often most affected. This must also be ther eason why many kids have been sick and hospitalized. I just hope that the weather will cool down in few days.

Traveling in my Mind

Argghh.. this early I already wanna hop on the plane and go to HK Disneyland but it is still 7 more months before I can do that. This trip for sure will be a special one bec. my family is traveling with me. We often talk about this trip most of the times and I can sense they are excited as well. The kids are especially excited to be inside the Disneyland. I think one day is enough to tour the theme park

Yay, in no time I'll be bringing out my dusty luggage off the storage room to fill in with our clothes. Wish it was a
Samsonite luggage so that we'll be more stylish. Oh well.. just as long we have a suitcase there will be no problem. Ahhh I can't wait!!

Charice Pempengco will make her first movie in Hollywood movie about Alvin And The Chipmunks

I'm not really a huge Charice fan but she kept on making the Phils. proud so she's worth mentioning. She has already performed with famous celebs like Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé, Josh Groban, Alicia Keys and Celine Dion. She has also appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Oprah Winfrey Show where she wowed their audiences.

And now, CHARICE PEMPENGCO will make her very first movie in Hollywood movie about
ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS and here's the story on how she got the part. I just hope she will keep her feet on the ground even though she is making little waves in the US.

Summer Fun!

It's summer here and what a fun way to go out on outing and spend time with family, relatives and friends. The kids are all vacation from school and just 2 weeks ago my SIL with her kids went on a swimming together with some of their friends. I wasn't able to go with them even if the swimming pool area is just near our town. Anyway, they all had fun swimming, most especially the kids.

My SIL wished they brought
pool floats lounges for adults to stay in while they are looking after their kids. When they got, i teased all of them bec. they turned dark due to too much exposure to sun. I wish I can take a vacation too, I always dreamed of going to Boracay but i need to save more to splurge on that trip.

Are you Afraid of Getting Old?

I guess most of us feared to grow old but we can't stop our aging. Some even resort to cosmetic surgery to fix the lines in their faces or make them youthful again. I am not against that as long as you don't look like a freak anymore bec. of too much alterations on your face. I once watched an episode at Oprah show where one of her guest wanted to look like Barbie doll so she went under the knife. Not long after she always wants to reconstruct something on her face that she end up having a psychological problem. I just can't recall what was the disorder but it just frightening.

It's not bad that we sometimes think that we don't want to age but if we resort to too much drastic move then it become unrealistic already. If you can avoid surgery why not try creams on the market. Say you have problems with your wrinkles, which by the way mine is getting to show up, or dark circle around your eyes, why not check out for the best eye cream reviews online for your perusal.

One More Sleep

..... and it's EB time with my co-digiscrappers/twittermates on Friday (17th) and haha I am just excited !! I know they are too... I think I have having some butterflies in my stomach right now hahaha. That only means that I am excited. I will tell stories and share photos of course by Saturday or so. Bebots see ya all !!!!!!!

Capturing Your Audience's Attention

I guess the best way to capture an audience is visually. Just take a look at those nice commercials that we are seeing always on TV, some are just engaging that will a mark in us. There are times when lines from a commercial is coming from your mouth and that only shows how good the commercial was bec. it stays in your mind.

Or have you seen a video that relays a good message and it touches your hearts and minds? Those videos and other visuals have strong magnet on audiences and that is what most companies want to achieve. People are choosy these days and in order to get their attention you need to make a bold move, a funky, innovative and creative one. They want their product or service to reach out onto every audience or clients. I am pretty sure that they hire the services of a good corporate video production that will help them with the live events, corporate videos, entertainments and commercials.

Charice Pempengco sings the National Anthem at Dodgers Opening Day 2009!

Wow what an honor for 16 year old Charice Pempengco to be singing Star Spangled Banner, to think she is not even an American. She sung it during the Opening Day of a baseball event at Dodgers Stadium last April 13 in Los Angeles. We are proud of your Charice!! go go go

High Tech Entertainment Room

One night, I was watching TV about celebrity homes and it is quiet amusing to see their luxurious abode. I was just in awe and in admiration while they are touring the insides of their house. Hollywood celebs graciously shared their house and even showing room to room. I just love looking at the elegant furniture and great interior decorations.

Every celeb house has different themes, some opted for contemporary, others enjoy the Victorian or Medieval feel on their house. Some houses even had high tech entertainment rooms that looked like having own cinema in the house, it was just amazing. Isn't it great to watch your fave movie when there is a nice surround sounds? Of course you must have quality speakers just like this discount satellite speakers hand-crafted wood that I found at Speaker Co.

Litratong Pinoy: Hardin (Garden)

Hi welcome to our small garden with gazebo, this is where we stay to rest or to entertain our friends and visitors. Sometimes the air is so cool here that's why it;s nice to rest here. There's also a rocking chair there that makes it more comfortable to laze around.

Head Hunting/Executive Recruitment

My bestfriend Race is working as an administrative officer in their company and along with that it involves a hard task of screening applicants for various positions. I know it a painstaking work of reading all of their resumes and interviewing them, sorting out things and to match them for a particular work. At the end of the day she needs to get the best applicant that will best suit the position and actually it’s not easy just to hire someone.

Good enough, burden are taken out of some companies now bec. they already hire  executive recruiter to do the task for them. They’ll do the executive search wherein they’ll hire people who are best and qualified for the executive positions. These days there are many companies who are offering this kind of service (executive recruitment) that can help lots of industries who are in need of qualified applicants. Every company needs a best people or manpower to work for them.

On Digiscrapping

Ordered my 3rd Photobook at over at ARTSCOW. This time i ordered 39 pages 8x8 and it only costs me $16.49 bec. i used a 30 page coupon. This is my Australian vacation photoook that i have been making for many months now. Finally it is finished and I have ordered it on April 8. ARTSCOW emailed me yesterday and told me that it was shipped already wahooo. I hope it will arrive at the end of the month.

Down with Typhoid

Awwww.. we just got a word from one of our online digi-scrapper friend Kathy that her daughter was rushed to the hospital last week. Her daughter was diagnosed with typhoid fever and luckily they detected it early. Good news is that her daughter is recuperating ad need to finish some doze of medicines before she will be discharge from the hospital.

Too bad, Kathy will not be able to join us on our meeting on Friday bec. she needs to attend to her sick daughter. I wish I can see her for the 1st time but the most important thing is that her daughter is safe and gaining her health back.

These days kids are sometimes vulnerable to all kinds of diseases and eventhough how careful we are they are affected. Even we adults are not spared with many diseases, from the food and water we take in plus the environment we live in we just need to be wary.

A Little Self-Pampering

Went to the nearby salon last Monday morning. Had hair color and hair spa. Darker color this time and no highlights. Nice result but not satisfied with the service. My hair dresser didn't even massage me when he was doing the hair spa on me and that sucks. Too bad I didn't even complain at him bec. I forgot about it. yay!.

The real owner of the salon is away that is why perhaps the hairdresser shortchange his service on me. I will complain to the owner next time when he is around and ask for a discount. Anyway, I had my hair dyed in preparation of our Bebot's meeting on Friday. I am just excited!!

I'm so excited!

I just can't help but to be excited on our upcoming Hongkong trip in December with with mom and the rest of my family. I'm overly excited on my would be shopping spree with my sisters (certified shopaholics hehe). I have been browsing some sites on the places where we can go to while there and just the thought of it makes me fly there right now.

We have been planning this since 2 years ago and now it's finally coming true this year. The kids are excited to see Hongkong Disneyland and I know they will have a grand time there. I hope next time we can also get Argentina travel package or any Asian package. All I know right now is that I am excited.. yahoo...

Ruby Tuesday: Holy Week

Just some of the photos that I took last Holy Friday, we call it PENITENSYA (penitence). There are group that re-enacts what Jesus Christ experienced, carrying of the cross.

In this pic though, the "Christ' is not carrying the cross bec. for sure he is so tired already bec. it is sooooo hot that day. Imagine walking and carrying that cross along the streets.

Consume Less, Conserve More

With the financial global crisis going on right now, we as consumers always think of ways on how we can save extra money on our pockets. In fact, I have been more conscious on how I use our electric. There are times I found myself unplugging cords of my appliances that is not in use bec. I read that, appliances still consume energy even if it is turned off. Unplugging them is the best way so I sometimes do that. In my own little way, I can save energy and hopefully lowered our electric consumption.

These days, more and more manufacturing companies are bringing up eco-friendly products that are not only useful for the consumers but also are not destructive to nature. I guess you have already heard about eco-friendly soaps/detergents, shopping bags and more. This time, I have read that there is eco-friendly exit signs which is actually non-electrical.

With the advance Photoluminescent technology that is used by they are now selling lots of exit  sign (glow in the dark, emergency, fire, just to name a few). And this product can help companies /building owners to conserve energy bec. they are non-electrical and easy to install. I am hoping that through the years with the evolution of much modern technology more products that are eco-friendly will be manufactured.

Investing Options

Our hard earned money need not go to waste so a lot of us would just save it in the bank for safe keeping. But for those that want their money to earn they invest it on stocks and or other business that they think is safe and can incur interest. I know someone who are into trading stocks and has told me that it has it’s highs and lows and I guess if you are not wise enough and you don’t have a knowledge about it then you are in the loosing end. Now you can learn about how to invest in stocks with an options screener, which is internet-based data provider that can help any investors with their option trades. Just keep in mind that you should invest your money wisely.

It's been a while since I was able to grab some juicy online opportunities but the other day I was able to grab lots that I could not believe. I was really shaking (LOL) to see them coming one by one so I grabbed the chance to get all of them. I wish this will happen often so that I can save lots for our overseas trip. I need some pocket money so this one is a blessing.

Ten Commandments From a Dog's Point of View

It's been a while since we have a pet dog in the house. We just recently got a pet dog named Sophie (mixed breed of Daschund and Shih Tzu ). My older bro bought her from a friend and right now we are all fond of her bec. she is sooooo cute and sweet. Love her esp. when she wags her tail every time she sees me. We all love her to bits.!!!
PROJECT 365: Sophie and I
Found this article that touches my heart and wanted to share here:
Ten Commandments From a Dog's Point of View

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Regular separation from you will be painful and can even cause depression. Think before you buy me.
2. Give me time to understand what you want from me don't be impatient, short-tempered or irritable.
3. Place your trust in me and I will always trust you back, respect is earned not given as some sort of inalienable right.
4. Don't be angry with me for long, and don't lock me up as punishment. I am not capable of understanding why I am being locked up. I only know I have been rejected. You have your work, entertainment and friends. I only have you.
5. Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your tone. "You only have to look at my tail" to know that.
6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget, if that treatment is unjust or bad, it may spoil the special bond between us. 7. Please do not hit me. I cannot hit back, but I can bite and scratch and I don't ever want to feel the need to do that.
8. Before you tell me off me for being uncooperative, obstinate, or lazy, ask yourself if something might be wrong with me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food or I've been out in the sun too long, maybe my heart is getting old and weak, or maybe I'm just dog-tired.

9. Take care of me when I get old. You too will grow old and will also want care, love, and affection.
10. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say, "I can't bear to watch" or "Let it happen in my absence". Everything is easier for me if you are there. Remember, Irrespective of what you do I will always love you.

Where are you going this summer?

I guess most of us would love to spend vacation with our family to have some family bonding away from the hustle and bustle of city life and our stressful work. Beaches are by far the most crowded place this summer where anyone could just laze around and swim endlessly. Our family have no plans yet but we’d love to have a picnic and go for a swimming too.

Isn’t it a pure bliss if you’ll be able to take a vacation at a secluded place in the Mexican Riviera Maya in Mexico? If I’ll be given a chance, I will not have a second thought of going there. I just found out that Karisma Hotels offers wide selection of vacation packages and that also include Kid friendly resort that is perfect for families that have kids. We all know that we want our kids to be safe and for them to enjoy many activities so this is a great feature. Just imagine the sun-kissed day at the beach, sipping piña collada, serene beaches and luxury treatment, nothing can beat that.

Surfin' Around

Found myself surfin' lots of travel website especially about Hongkong for we are planning to go there. I have also been chatting with my sis so that she can find an affordable hostel that we can stay in while we are there. We have limited budget so everything that we can save is good. Thea shared a good forum where we can read more about Hongkong, the places to go and the place to shop. Ahhh I can't wait to go there.

Own Manicure

Dropped by the nearby store to buy a nail polish. I remember Diane ( a co-bebot) showing off her nails and I love the color of it. Bought the African Plum and i thought it was a black color, it is actually very dark violet that looks like a eggplant. I did my own manicure and pedicure bec. I have no more time to go to the salon. It turned out nice, eventhough it was not that perfect.

All in the Name of Beauty

I’ll be going to the salon next week to have my hair colored and for a hair spa. My gray hairs are showing already and it is embarrassing that it is already showing up again. I don’t want my co-digiscrappers see it when we will meet on the 17th so I will have my time in the salon once again.

There are actually many spas and salons everywhere if you notice and that is a sign that this industry is really booming. Not only women are having themselves beautiful but men as well so I will not wonder anymore why salons are sprouting. For those that have passion for beauty enrolling themselves in a beauty school is one of the ways to hone their skills and their craft. There’s nothing like learning the modern and advance techniques.

Super Excited

Wow how many days left and I'll be seeing my co-Bebots already. We have been emailing back and forth about this get together with hopes that it will run smooth. I am also been flooded with twits that sometimes I can't cope with what they are saying already. I am so happy that I knew them as online friends

Upcoming Bebots EB

I am actually so excited now to see my co- Bebots (digi-scrappers)this month. We'll be having a get together in Makati on April 17 and how can I not be excited? One of our co-Bebot online friend Trinity is already in the country to spend HOly Week and she will be with us on the 17th.

I know foods will flood on that day, so I should be ready for that. There will be chocolate fountain which is a constant request by Trinity and I requested for a Blueberry cheesecake (i hope they will buy one!!). Our food will be catered so we need not worry plus I think Litzie will bring spaghetti.

We had an EB in 2005 and I already met some of my co digiscrappers but this time I will be meeting more Bebots. I know the day will be full of chikas and oh I just can't wait for that.

Earn a Degree Online

We all know how important education is, so as much as possible we encourage every individual to finish schooling and earn a degree. There’s lot of competition out there so it is much better if you outstand them with your good skills. There’s no more reason now why anyone could not have any education, there’s free primary and secondary schools and adults will have the privilege to earn a college degree even if they will not go on a regular school.

A Beauty

Just leaving some beauty to you all tonight. Old photo that I saw on my files, it is worth sharing since it is a beauty. Hmm not quite sure what was the name of this flower but all I know it is just beautiful. Have a blessed week to all of us.

Scorching Hot !!

My oh my, it is so hot right now and all i think about is a cold juice with lots of ice in it. I am picturing myself in a veranda with legs up fronting a beach while the sun sets. Ahhh what a pure bliss. Can you imagine, it is about 37C right now and I am sweating? LOL. I know I can always turn the AC on but with the announcement of Meralco that they will increase the price of electricity this month and the next few months, I would not even dare turn it on.. LOL

I already had enough of the high bills that I am paying, so I need to save a little. With that said I have the write to whinge how hot it was hehe!!

Legal Help

We all wanted to be safe wherever we go so we need to be extra careful. The sad part is that we never really know when and where accidents will happen. It’s like a thief in the night that will just come when we least expected. When accidents happen and we are sure that we are right, keep in mind that anybody has the right to seek justice.

Sometimes justice is hard to achieve if we are knowledgeable and we don’t seek help of professionals. We need to get some to help represent us in court for any legal assistance that we need.

WS: Palm Sunday

PROJECT 365: Palm Sunday
It's Palm Sunday yesterday and we heard mass at 10 am at St. John the Baptist Church. Take a look at the people, their palms are being blessed by the lay minister.

PALM SUNDAY, is a big event here in the Phils. All Catholics gather in the church to commemorate the entry of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem. We bring our PALASPAS or decorated palm fronds to church to be blessed after the mass and later on we put in our doors at home.

LP: Paboritong Litrato (Fave Pic)

Good Friday to all LP members. This is my fave pic bec. I am still a bit "sexy" here. LOL This was taken in a photo studio in Galleria in 2005. Funny thing is that, my photo was too processed in photoshop making my face too flawless.. LOL

Yen's Questions of the Week #52

It's been a while since I joined YEn'sSOTWso I thought I'll join this week.

1.What are you grateful for today? -

Lizard in a Bottle???

PROJECT 365: Lizard inside the bottle??Close up
Is it really a lizard??
Nah... it's just a toy. This is actually a gel like toy of my 5 yr. old niece and when placed in water, she said it will "grow".She said the plastic bottle was just half filled with water then later on it turned out to be a gel like mixture inside. Kinda unique, i can say.

This is the latest craze among kids here . Love the pastel color too..
