:Want Some Dried Mangoes?:

I am munching some right now and oh boy it is sooo delicious. Bought it at Puregold grocery the last time I went there. It's actually made in Cebu and it is also an export quality. I guess Pinoys would love to taste this sweet dried mangoes when they are abroad. It's mouth watering dessert that I can have most of the times.

This medium pack (100 grms) costs about P53.00 not bad huh for a tasty and delicuous snack. Dried mangoes + Coke solo = my sinful snack for this afternoon! Stop Jen! Stop!

As a blogger I have learned to monetize my blog so I can earn extra from it aside from enjoying writing while sharing my experiences and many things that I know. I am blogging for more than 3 years now and I love it and just in case you didn’t know, in the last years my blogs with different niches mushroomed. I can’t hide the fact that anyone can really earn from blogs using different sources from Google Adsense, where anyone can earn $$ each day if you really have a good niche and you know how to optimize your keywords. Others choose text ink ads, other do affiliate programs like this projector lamp center aff program, others do paid post blogging, and many more. I have not joined surveys and reading ads on email but I heard some earn from that.

Ahhh with the crisis goin on, I as a blogger strive hard to look for more ways on how I can extra esp. that the holidays are coming bec. you know expenses are expected. We can’t blame anyone to look for other ways, for me this is ok as long as you are not doing anything illegal. It is best to paid blog rather than being a corrupt gov’t official. Yay! Holidays are coming and some may have started buying gifts for their love ones for Christmas. I know someone who has done it already and that is my sister Joy. Imagine she has already wrapped some of them as early as last month. Hmmm I guess she doesn’t want to be in a rush bec. they will be out of town too. For us who have not yet started buying bec. I still have to list all the people that I will give gifts. One of the practical ways of to save on items that we shop is we hunt for great deals and discounts. Another way is people use coupon codes or voucher codes to save some bucks. Oh BTW, if your are planning to buy LCD TV or plasma here’s a big screen center coupon codes that you can use. It’s not on my list this Christmas but I hope in the future I’ll be the proud owner of one.

:Arctic Ice is Melting Too Fast! :

I was watching the news lately and reading some articles online about global warming and sometimes we never thought it has bearing on our daily lives. This issue seems to be so deep that we never care sometimes. It is more shocking to know that the Arctic Ice is melting too fast due to the effects of global warming. There’s no wonder why there are massive flooding all around the world and scientists even predict that by 2040, the world maybe without ice and that is too scary to happen. I just read it at the All Voices site, a current events new site where you can read lots of new stories about politics, science and tech. and more from around the globe written by their contributors. There are many informative news that we all can read about, sometimes, it’s also enriching to read news pertaining about science and technology.

I was also able to watch a small part of a semi-documentary TV show two days ago while flickering the remote. I was deeply saddened to know that there is a small village in Africa where their well of water suddenly dried up bec. of the severe heat. Now they have to walk 2 hours just to get water in a well for their drinking and for their animals. Some villagers even have no choice but to sell their cattle due to lack of water. This is already alarming and global warming is really affecting our weather patterns. Just like here, it’s been raining for the past days but it is still hot and humid.

: What's Happening to Our Weather? :

I have noticed lately that the weather changes dramatically over the past few months. Just last month when a typhoon hit our place, it is the 1st time ever that our subdivision became flooded, to think that we have been living there for the last 20 years. It is the 1st time that we have flooded streets and the flood is so thick and brown ( rain waters and soil) and we suspected it coming from from the hillsides of Antipolo. I guess there are massive cutting of the trees that is why there's are no more trees to hold on to the rain waters.

It's always been hot and humid most of the times that is why there are many people who are getting sick each day esp. the kids. I also got colds last week bec. of the heat. There are also many heat related illnesses that keeps people uncomfortable. Global warming is really upon and us and this is daunting.

This morning it is raining and right now, the sun is up and so hot but I could see a huge black cloud at the sky and for sure it will rain again later.. Keep safe everyone!

: Off to the Mall:

Wow, it’s weekend once again and it’s the time to have a little rest from a one whole week of working here at my net café. I hope you are all enjoying spending time with your family and just savor the bonding times that you will get out of it. It’s been ages since I went to the mall and kinda relax for a while and so I thought that I will do some strolling and perhaps buy something to reward myself. I will be with my niece and I guess we will be leaving after lunch or so. I intend to buy an everyday bag plus some office supplies that I will be using for my desktop publishing business.

For sure my niece and I will eat somewhere; I am craving for a blueberry cheesecake right now so I guess we’ll look at Red Ribbon shop if it is available. For sure I will be passing my the watch stores again and I will just canvass (don’t buy Jen ok!) for new styles or sales that they got. Ok need to eat lunch by now and we’ll be off to the mall later. : My Bro Won in Faber Castell's Sining Awards Painting Competition :

Tooot tooot!! Faber Castell recently held a Painting Competition entitled: Sining Award 2008 and 2 of my brothers joined the said competition. They worked so hard for their entries, thinking what theme or what composition they will choose. My 2 bros always participates in competitions but my older bro. Ronald can join both photography in and painting competitions where he is passionate about.

Contests where he won: AAP Contest 2007 as Honorable Mention: See his winning photo HERE. His other works here.

Anyway, my brother bagged the 2nd prize in this Sining Awards 2008 by Faber Castell with these old bottles that he painted. Wish you can see the real painting bec. it looks very realistic. The awarding ceremony took place at the GSIS building last Oct. 22. Of course we are proud of him.

:Sinful Chocolates:

I have many relatives in the US, Australia and Saudi Arabia and one of the most awaited gifts that we always await is none other than chocolates. I guess it’s already common for Pinoys to bring home or send chocolates to their loved ones. And what a pure delight it always brings to eat all kinds of chocolates. All these chocolate will always have a place in our mouths as my family was all choco-holics.

With the holidays coming, for sure there are many balikbayans that will come home bringing gifts to their loved one. I wish my 2 sisters and her family will be here for Christmas but I don’t think it is possible. : My B-day Gadget Wish List :

Ok I am excited now bec. my birthday is coming next month. I have been saving a lot by not going to shopping malls or shopping online like what my co- Bebots had done or buying digital kits lately (except for the 2 $1 each loot that I got 2 weeks ago) bec. I am saving to probably buy one or 2 on my wish list.

Actually, I badly need a new lens for my Rebel and that lens is perfect as my all around lens. I am constantly using my nifty fity 50mm lens but it as no zoom that is why I have a hard time most of the times when I need to shoot wide.

BTW, I am selling my KIT LENS Canon 18-55 mm just in case you want to buy and ohhh bef. I forgot donations are very much welcome via my paypal help me buy them hahaha. (wink)

:1 PC is Down :

It's been many days now that one (1) pc here at my net cafe is down. I troubled shoot it for a while but my efforts seems futile bec. I wasn't able to make it work. When I tried to boot the pc it will just hang and won't continue to open. I tried opening several times but still nothing happened. I asked my sister in law (my partner in crime hehe) to open the computer and check on the parts maybe their are only loose ones (as instructed by our techinican when we called on the phone). Much worse happened bec. it has no power.

I have only few units and it's a problem when my customers come or flock at the same time. I need to have it repaired so I told my SIL to bring it to the technician. The technician called today and he told me that the video card is the culprit. So we need to buy one asap and I hope it it cheap like the used cisco products. I badly need the pc at my cafe and I am hoping by tomorrow it will be working fine like it used to be.

: Sleep Over:

I slept here at my shop last Monday hoping to catch the much awaited opps from a company that alerted us that they will send new ones by Oct. 20th. Many of us Bebots have waited patiently for it last Monday that is why I even brought my blanket and pillow case and spent the night here. We have been refreshing the page over and over again and as I was joking I am having a vigil hahaha. It was around 12:30 am that I decided to sleep already when I realized that it will not come anymore.

It was a bit hard to sleep here since there is no bed, i just had a foam and some few pillows. I did not fall asleep so quickly bec. it was a it noisy outside. I got some few hours of sleep and I woke up very early at 5;00 am and luckily I got an opp by 6:00 am which is $20 from another co. and that is good. Right now we are still waiting for the bunch of opps from the other co and it loooks like it will not come any time soon but I am prepared to sleep over here at my store again when it comes.

Ok I have noticed lately that I have been putting off a lot of things in my life that really needs some attention. My social and love life (meron ba??) has suffered by my attitude in the last few weeks. I don't know I have many things to do but somehow I can't do it and I am just so lazy. I guess I am going through a phase in my life where I need to get out of my comfort zone and break out of my shell. Some of the things to be done.

1. Go to my dentist for check up
2. Go to my eye doctor badly need a new pair of eyeglasses
3. Go back exercising everyday (playing badminton) so that I will not need Trimspa
4. Go to the salon for haircut, hair spa and hair color.

Gosh I have these list long time ago but still I can do them.

: It's My Mom's B-day !! :

It's my mom's 76th Birthday last Oct. 18 and we had a very sumptuous lunch. Actually we are not complete bec. my other 2 sisters and their family were in Sydney and Riyadh, and we wish they are here to celebrate it with us.

We had bb-qued chicken wings, liempo, tilapia, chopseuy and sinigang. Birthday is also not complete w/o spaghetti and cake plus I made a special fruit (buko salad) that everyone like. See my fruit salad recipe here.

Ok here I am again, call me a stage Aunt (hahaha) I will be bragging about my nephew's achievement again in the world of blogging. I almost forgot to post about this one. As you might not know Juan Karlo of Pinoy Blogero is my nephew and he has been invited as a speaker in Blogging Events in the country.

His technology blog PINOY BLOGERO that focuses on blogging can somehow encouraged or inspired his readers to start their own blog. In fact, his blog even won the Best Tech Blog at the recently concluded Phil Blog Awards 2. He won a trophy and a cellphone Nokia N-series and hmmm it would also be great if he got a Brazil vacation packages as a prize. He is squeezing himself in studying (Computer Engr. in Mapua his last yr.), sideline job and his blogging.

Anyway, he was invited along with his co-bloggers and winners Juned Sunido and Ferdinand Decena to guest last Oct. 9, 2008 on Mornings@ANC (shown on cable), and they were interviewed by host TJ Manotoc and of course we are happy and proud of him. We have not seen it live on TV bec. we have no cable but here is the interview that he posted on his blog.

As I lay awake past midnight,

I could hear the wind rustling the leaves outside. I suddenly heard a scraping sound at my window.....I was startled for while but would like to know what is out there. I slowly peeked in the window trying not to make a noise while my heart is pounding. It was really dark outside and it's impossible to see anything with just a quick look. I opened my eyes wide enough and a shadow appeared before my eyes and I am not sure what it was.

Slowly breathing, I stick my eyes on my windows and to my surprise the shadow was of a man trying to open our gate. It was scary to see a man at midnight but I managed to get hold of myself and I scream.... MY loud voice woke my mom up but scared the would be robber or what.

I am thankful that I am awake at that time or else something might have happened.

:Never Ending Bills:

Just finished paying some bills, actually some are have disconnection notice already but managed to asked mom to pay it for me. I am still waiting for my internet server bill, they always late in sending the bill. Imagine it’s almost end of the month again and my bill for Sept. hasn’t come yet, if that will not come next week I need to pay that or else bills will overlap and that sucks. On August mom will need to renew the yearly car insurance of our other vehicle, one is every Jan. and the other is on August. Sometimes it’s a bit hard to have many vehicles bec. you need to register and pay insurance as well.

I have been twitting via Twitter for some time now and almost all my friends there were also my co-Bebots (digi-scrappers) and oh boy aren't we just so talkative over at twitter that we made it already a chat room hahaha. My co-twitters are one bunch of busy, talkative, bunch of blogger, scrapper, photographer and all.

They have actually organized a TWITTER PARTY and it's actually today that they will be meeting. I was invited of course but I shyly declined not that I didn't want to see them but they will be bringing their husband and kids and I don't want to be out of place. I have met some of my co-twitters already last year during Bebot's EB and of course I want to meet them again and the rest of the gang.

Party will be at Citadell Inn and I think some will also stay for the night there. Some mommies will bring toys and other things that kids will enjoy while mommies will have all night of chatting. I hope there will be another BEbot's EB so I can join them again.

: Wish I Can HaveThis :

I am a Nokia user since I had my very phone back in the late 90's and I can attest to the durability of their phones. My 1st phone is the 3210 that is so heavy and bulky to bring but mind you even If I dropped it several times, it is has worked fine but I had to give it up since more models have sprouted over the years.

The Nokia I am using right now was given by my bro-inlaw from Australia , he gave it to me when he replaced his with the N-series. It was given to me in 2006 and I am still using it eventhough it has no camera and other features as well. Anyway, new phone models come every now and then that makes consumers more baffled on what to buy. Techies went gaga over the Mac's iPhone where only few can actually buy bec. of the price. I think I will have to settle with Nokia N95 8GB Smart unlocked phone as it also some features that will match my cellphone needs.

I was so excited last week bec. my 5-yr. old niece Reign was so bubbly and very cooperative when I tried to take photos of her. I just love all the shots that I took of her and we will have it printed at much bigger size to be framed.

And you know why I got good shots of her? I told her I will buy her a Barbie doll for Christmas and when she heard it she is smiling from ear to ear... lol Sounds like a bribe eh? but really I will buy one for her for being good.

: Strollers Always Come in Handy :

Have you ever experienced going to the mall or taking a vacation with kids in tow and your kids don’t like to walk? I guess many of you can say yes esp. mommies out there. Parents don’t have a choice actually but to carry their kids so they all can enjoy. I saw some parents pulling their kids or dragging them just to walk that sometimes we thought that they are mistreating them. Actually kids are tired already and can’t keep with the adults or probably they are sleepy already.

I remember when Bianca and Braiden (my sister Joy’s children) were much young and it’s time for us to do the grocery shopping or our time to stroll the mall and bargain hunting we just put them on strollers and off we go. It’s much easier and convenient for us and the kids. There are times though when we can’t bring any stroller; we just rent one just like what we did when we went to Taronga Zoo. It was a huge zoo and Bianca just got tired roaming around.

Oh wow what is happening to our place lately? Gone were the days were I can go home even late at night without me being scared of being rape or robbed on my way home. These days, I need to be extra careful going home alone and I need to be extra vigilant while I am here at my store. I don't want the incident where a man robbed my store at gunpoint leaving me shock and scared to death up to this day.

How many net cafes have been robbed here where criminals got all the cpu's and monitors, owners will only find out that their stores have been looted when they open it the next day. We can't help but to become angry and I guess security systems can deter criminals from doing such crimes. Cellphone snatching inside the cafe is also one of the modus operandi, i have seen one inside my store and I always remind my customers to be careful. Ahhh this is a sad reality and it is really happening. Poverty drive people to do such things or they are really born criminals?? Sigh.....

Trying Out Windows live writer

Just trying this out Windows Live Writer which is recommended by my my co-Bebot Aggie trying to see if it will make my blogging a lot easier and faster. I still have to know how this really works , it says that I can post on my multiple blogs. You see I have several blogs with 2 separate account and soemtimes it is hard to open another browser just to sign in my other account.

Ahhhh, why did I do that in the first place now, I need to open 2 account . I hope this Live writer will not make my life more complicated or else I will habve to unsitall it. to Has anyone used this too?

: Love Those Christmas Cookies :

Can you feel the Christmas air already? Hmmmm, actually with all the decorations in the mall already, Christmas songs being played over the radio and Tv shows showcasing Christmas stuff, how can we not feel it eh? Would you believe my sis JOYD has already wrapped some of her Christmas gifts ( I hope mine is already wrapped too hehehe !!).? Me, i still have to think about what gifts will I give so I have not started mine yet.

Anyway, don't you just love those cookies that your friends and relatives are giving you? With Christmas coming, i guess it's pretty unique to share your freshly baked home made cookies and wrapped it in a special box or canisters. : LP: Luma Na (Already Old)

Ahhh this week's theme at Litratong Pinoy is pretty easy bec. there are lots of things from my bro's gallery that I can share. Bro. has a small art gallery where he stores his paintings and collections (old coins, LP records, komiks, magazines and lot more).

Here I will share this very old SAMPLE BALLOT with Marcos and Lopez as candidates and it was dated Nov. 1965 (yay I wasn't even born yet!), some of the collections of my brother. Here's my other entry, tignan nyo mas luma ito grabe.

: A Package Came :

I was busy working in front of my computer when I heard someone is calling my name and when I looked it was the mailman. I thought he'll hand me a letter but he said no and said it was a small packet, instantly I told him ahhh it was from Japan, right? Yes it was and it was from YEN from Tokyo. I got excited bec. I knew it was the prize that I won from Yen's previous mini-contest on her blog. Thanks Yen!

Actually I won a small cute plastic bag perfect for putting some abubots so I hurriedly opened the package and in it was an eyeshadow and foundation along with the bag. Awww how sweet, right in time i have no more eyeshadow hehe.

Oh BTW, Yen's got another blog contest where anyone could win $200 worth of prizes. I hope I'll win again !

2 days in a row, I received text messages telling me that my number won in a raffle and to claim my prize (P1 Million) i need to call them, oh boy I easily ruled out that this is a SCAM!!. Here is tOe of the text message that I got.

You know what I did??? I replied and saID "Wow i won, kaya lang hindi ako tanga!! ( I am not an idiot). Scammers go to hell !!" Hahhaha , I never received a reply back. It is annoying at times coz people never stops scamming and tricking people. I just hope no people will fall trap to these scammers!!

Yay, my vision is kinda blurred right now and with the old glasses that I have that don’t work, I seriously need a new pair. I have been postponing to go to my eye doctor for quite sometime now (lazy me hehe) and I know it is not doing any good to my eyesight. : A Brief Chat :

I was online at YM last night trying to catch my sister online when someone buzzed me and I was happy to see that it was my bestfriend Adel way back in college (Medical Technology days). We have not seen each other for I think 3 or 4 years already and I miss her actually, same thing with my friend Beth who is Canada right now.

Adel and I had a brief chat trying to know the things that happened to our lives. She is working in a laboratory as Med. Tech in Cebu right now and with all the employment screening that she has gone through she landed a job there. I know some of the perks about is that she is paid well and she has been practicing our profession but the downside is that she is away from her family (2 kids and hubby) who is in Cavite. She go home every month and I know she is doing good in her career and she told me that even if I am not practicing Med. tech anymore, I 'll be good as well in my chosen path and business. Ahhhh I wish we can talk again the next few days eventhough she's busy sometimes.

Sorry guys for feeling and being so crappy or should I say bitchy today and who will not when your monthly visitor is here again, you have an aching/cramping leg muscles, a small acne on your face and you feel achy and bloated? More and more bloggers are now into Entrecard that they have spent too much time dropping. I see no bad reason in droppin' cards in fact there are bloggers who can drop 300 cards in just few minutes using some ways but with a not so internet connection of mine I can't do that. I can probably drop around 100 and that is not in just few minutes but most of my blogging hours. I have other tasks to do so I can just drop few cards in a day and sometimes is kinda tiring..lol

Actually I don't really like the host esp. if he tries to speak in Filipino !! Pia Guanio is much better host in my opinion and I hope Rovilson will be replaced hehe. :How much do you care about yourself? :

We all know that taking care of ourselves can be a task sometimes. These days not only women are known to be vain when it comes to personal appearance and hygiene but men as well. We should always try to be neat and presentable if we can as they way we dress and look will have a great impact on people we meet for the 1st time. Like they say, 1st impressions lasts.

It is often off-putting to deal with people esp. if we are not comfortable with ourselves and if we feel we have something to hide, like a scar on the face, a big mole or somethin' and sometimes those nasty and pesty acne that needs continuous acne treatments to be gone. I guess we women should go once in a while to the parlor to have a foot spa, hair treatment, a massage perhaps for a more relaxed you.
